Peter graduated with his LLB from the University of Alberta in 1984. Whilst at Law School he volunteered for Student Legal Services for three years assisting individuals facing criminal charges. In his last year he was elected director of the Criminal Law Office Project. He also served as President of the Law Students’ Association during his final year of law school. Peter articled with the Attorney General’s Office, doing mostly criminal prosecutions.
Upon completion of his articles and being called to the Bar in 1985, Peter opened up his own criminal defence firm and has been conducting trials and appeals for the last 30 years. Peter’s practice is almost entirely dedicated to defending individuals charged with impaired driving and related offences.
